David Lloyd Tennis Academy The academy is vision of David Lloyd, an International Player of High Repute and recognition who has contributed immensely to the Sport. One of the most successful Tennis Players from UK who is also credited with pioneering series of signature leisure and next generation fitness clubs throughout UK, and Internationally (Holland, Belgium and Spain). Currently the group has three quality academies under operations in Redbridge (Greater London), Reeds and Glasgow with fourth academy at Dubai Sports City to start operations from next year. The Academy operations are directed by Kieron Vorster who has proven his specialization in performance management of elite sportsmen. He was former coach to Wayne Ferreira (Top 10 ATP ranking), Tim Henman (Ranked 4 in ATP circuit). Further has held key responsible positions as head of strength and conditioning at LTA and Coach of South African Davis Cup Team. Tim Henman trained for 6 years with the Academy. Facilities available at the academies are world class as is expected from David Lloyd brand with exceptional infrastructure facilities available for the Players. The academy currently has on its rolls qualified top quality coaches, some of the best available in the sport. David Lloyd academy, Redbridge has Simon Harston as its Head Coach. Simon as a player was ranked in top 20 in Britain and a university champion. As a coach he was responsible for coaching Faris Khatib win Grand Prix Masters and ITF ranking of 53. Has been a touring coach for Junior, ITF and ETA events. Has been a Essex Sr. Team member for 10 years. Simon is supported by his professional coaching team consisting of Gavin Bradford, Nigel Parsons and Justin Layne. David Lloyd academy, Reed's has Ben Haran as head coach. Ben is a top 20 British junior and a top 10 British junior doubles player, a regular satellite and future player and a PCA accredited coach. Ben is supported by his professional coaching team consisting of Andrew Richardson, Tony Lloyd and Wayne Black. David Lloyd academy, Glasgow has Toby Smith as head coach. Toby is a British university doubles and Team Champion and a reputed Scottish player with respectable rank of 8. Toby was a regular satellite player, traveling coach of Scottish Junior Team and is currently working with top UK junior players. Gary assists him in his coaching responsibilities. Tennis Plus Academy - Gloucester: Tennis Plus academy is leading Tennis Academy of Gloucester established with an aim to develop budding young tennis players to top quality professionals with Proper focus on improving their technical, mental, tactical skills and proper strength conditioning.
